As Production Manager at Asgaard Metals, your day will be dynamic and hands-on, centered around keeping their unique, custom-built facility operating as seamless as possible.

Roll Up Your Sleeves and Make an Impact

This is a hands-on role that requires an eagerness to tackle challenges directly. From managing equipment and coordinating repairs to optimizing workflows, you will be involved in all aspects of the production. You’ll have the chance to make real changes to processes and influence the direction of production, constantly finding ways to improve efficiency and safety across operations.

Collaboration is key

You will work closely with technicians, internal experts, and external consultants - each bringing specialized knowledge to maintain high production standards.

You will not have any employees, who reports directly to you, to begin with, but there will be a great deal of indirect management in the role.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Production Management: Gain in-depth knowledge of the facility’s processes, oversee, troubleshoot, and refine operations in a unique facility with custom machinery, collaborating closely with internal colleagues and external specialists.
  • Optimizing Processes: Implement preventative maintenance and streamline processes to maximize uptime and quality output.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance, setting a high standard for operational excellence. Furthermore, you will organize and update technical documentation along the way, creating a blueprint for expanding and replicating the facility’s operations.
  • Leverage your expertise: As part of a startup environment, your knowledge, curiosity, and creativity are invaluable. It is encouraged to actively contribute beyond your core responsibilities, bringing ideas and insights that help shape and expand the company's development.

Your professional profile:

  • Experienced Technician: A background as a marine engineer, electrician, foundry manager or similar (preferably with an electrical background)
  • +5 years’ experience from a complex processing facility (e.g. offshore or power plant)
