Process Proposal Engineer

Simatek A/S are looking for a Proposal Process Engineer who will play a key role in developing and validating the process solutions that form the basis of their proposals for customers around the world.
About the Role
As a Proposal Process Engineer, you will be a vital part of Simatek’ Proposal Team, where you will combine process understanding, technical calculations, and structured documentation to develop competitive proposals for new projects. You will work closely with both the Sales and Project departments as well as Simatek’ suppliers, taking responsibility for ensuring the right technical and economic foundation for new projects.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Developing and optimizing process flows and diagrams for proposals
- Performing process calculations and equipment sizing for filters, heat exchangers, reactors
- Preparing technical specifications, data sheets, and process documentation for proposals
- Supporting the sales and commercial teams in preparing technical quotations
- Gathering technical input and quotations from suppliers and partners
- Providing technical support during contract negotiations and project handover
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of design standards and proposal procedures
About You
You hold a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering and have some years of experience within process design, equipment sizing, or proposal preparation – preferably from a company supplying technical solutions to the process industry.
Experience with filtration technology is an advantage, but what matters most is your understanding of process engineering and your ability to translate technical requirements into practical and reliable solutions.
You are structured and detail-oriented and thrive in a role where not everything is predefined. You use your technical insight and overview to connect the dots, ensuring that every proposal is both technically and commercially solid. You appreciate systematic work, can manage a high pace with multiple deadlines, and stay focused on quality.
As a person, you are responsible, adaptable, and enjoy collaborating across disciplines and geographies. You are motivated by creating structure and improving processes, and you contribute actively with ideas on how to optimize standards and workflows. You are fluent in English – Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
