Event & Experience Manager – Bring Axlab’s customer experiences to life
Can you turn a showroom visit, a reference site tour or an industry exhibition into an experience that makes a lasting impression?
In collaboration with Actief Hartmanns, Axlab is looking for an Event & Experience Manager who combines creative design with hands-on delivery and a clear commercial focus.
In the position you will own Axlab’s customer-facing experience programme: reference site visits, the headquarters showroom, Axlab Academy, and industry exhibitions. This is an opportunity to combine concept development with practical execution, shaping how visitors experience Axlab’s solutions and building the calendar, materials and processes that ensure consistent quality and continuity.
Your role goes beyond logistics: you will design welcoming, relevant experiences that help visitors understand how Axlab’s solutions work in practice. You will also build the calendar, materials and documented processes that make the programme consistent, scalable, and less dependent on any one individual.
You will be part of the Marcom team and work closely with Sales, Product Management, and external partners. Together with the Graphic Designer & Event Coordinator, you will translate ideas into a strong exhibition presence and cohesive creative execution.
What you will take ownership of
- Develop and deliver reference site visits, showroom tours, Academy days and exhibitions that connect customer needs with Axlab’s automated pathology workflows.
- Establish and continually improve the showroom experience and reference site concept for prospective and existing customers.
- Manage programmes and events from concept to delivery, aligning internal teams, external agencies, and production partners.
- Build and maintain the activity calendar, supporting materials, briefings, and documented processes.
- Manage suppliers, budgets, and negotiations, with close attention to production details and on-site logistics.
- Track event performance and work with Sales and within Marcom to ensure effective lead handling and handover.
- Help support the development of a sustainable webinar approach that contributes to sales opportunities.
What you bring
You have at least five years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, or customer experience, ideally combining large-scale exhibitions with smaller, hosted experiences. Exhibition or trade show experience is essential, together with relevant experience from the medical device industry. You can demonstrate that you have designed and delivered premium customer or partner experiences, not simply coordinated the logistics.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, business, hospitality, or event management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience establishing and improving a showroom for a company providing anatomic pathology equipment or a medical device company.
- Experience developing and refining reference site concepts for prospective and existing customers.
- Strong end-to-end project management skills and the ability to collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and external partners.
- Experience managing vendors, suppliers, and budgets, including negotiations with agencies and production partners.
- Confidence reporting on event performance, handling leads and coordinates their handover.
- Fluency in English. Danish is an advantage when working with headquarters and the local reference site network.
Experience developing a webinar strategy that generates sales opportunities is a plus. Alternatively, you are comfortable learning this skill quickly, as you will work closely with your future colleagues in Marcom on this.
Regular travel should be expected, and in busy periods, this can be 50% or more.
A thoughtful host with a hands-on mindset
You make people feel genuinely welcome and adapt naturally to different visitors and situations. You stay calm when plans change, take pride in the details and are just as comfortable shaping an experience concept as managing the on-site logistics. Open and approachable, you build trust with colleagues, suppliers and senior stakeholders, communicate clear briefs, and know who needs which information — and when.
You bring creativity, initiative and a collaborative approach. You are curious about what works, use data and feedback to improve the programme and look for ways to make each visit or event meaningful rather than routine.
Axlab’s Marcom team works to build recognition of the Axlab brand for bringing innovation and automation to pathology laboratories in its direct markets. Through consistent brand storytelling, impactful events, customer experiences and digital channels, the team connects colleagues and customers with that ambition. In this role, you will have ownership of the experiences that show what it means in practice.
