4 permanent jobs on day or evening shift – learn foundry work from the ground up

On behalf of our customer, Actief Hartmanns A/S is looking for four new employees for permanent positions at the foundry in Herning. You do not need previous foundry experience. What matters most is that you enjoy practical industrial work, show up reliably, have an eye for quality and details, and are willing to learn a special craft from the ground up. Experience from industry, production, warehouse, metal work, crafts or other practical work is an advantage – but not a requirement.

We are looking for one employee for a permanent day shift and three employees for a permanent evening shift.

4-6 weeks of training

You will start with a planned introduction and training programme on the day shift for 4-6 weeks. During this period, you will be introduced to the foundry, safety procedures, materials, equipment and the specific tasks. You will be trained by experienced colleagues and given time to understand the process before moving to your permanent shift. After training, you will move to either:

Permanent day shift: 5-day week, Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00
Permanent evening shift: 4-day week, 15:00-23:30.

Get a real industrial job

A foundry is not an office job – and it is not a clean assembly job either. You will work in a real industrial environment where it can be hot, dirty and sometimes noisy; aluminium is melted, cast, processed and checked before the parts are sent on to customers in demanding industries. In return, you get a permanent job in a specialised industrial company where you can see the result of your work and learn a craft that only few people work with in Denmark.

Your tasks

Your work may after training include these tasks:

preparing moulds and equipment for casting
casting aluminium in permanent moulds and sand moulds
handling and removing cast parts
deburring and removing excess aluminium from the casting process.
visual inspection of parts and surfaces
keeping the workplace tidy, safe and well organised.

You do not need to know these task, but you will be trained as a part of your onboarding.

Who are you?

Besides living in a reasonable distance from Herning, we imagine that you:

are reliable and show up on time, every work day
enjoy physical and practical work
preferably have experience from industry, production, warehouse, metal work or crafts
have an eye for quality, details and order
understand that your work is important for the finished product
can communicate in English, as a minimum. Danish language skills are not required.
