Maintenance and reliability engineer for sterilization equipment

On behalf of Sterigenics we are looking for an Electron Beam Engineer who will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and future development of electron beam sterilization equipment at the site in Denmark, and also with contact and occasional visits to the sites in Shanghai and Thailand.

In this role you will work at the intersection of maintenance excellence, engineering projects and advanced technology, supporting multiple sites and collaborating with international technical teams.

The position

As E-Beam Engineer you will act as the regional technical expert within electron beam systems and supporting infrastructure. Your overall responsibility will be to ensure high equipment uptime, improve reliability and drive technical development of existing installations.

The role combines hands-on troubleshooting, engineering project leadership and strategic technical input to long-term asset planning.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Monitor and optimize performance of electron beam accelerators and associated equipment
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis in case of technical issues
  • Optimize preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime
  • Support corrective maintenance and complex repair activities when needed
  • Conduct equipment audits and risk assessments
  • Develop and maintain maintenance documentation and CMMS-data
  • Lead or support engineering projects such as equipment upgrades and replacements
  • Work closely with local site teams to develop and implement technical solutions
  • Ensure technical documentation and audit readiness
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical training across sites

Your profile

We imagine you have a strong technical background combined with experience from complex industrial environments.

You likely bring:

  • A degree in Engineering or a relevant technical education
  • Experience from maintenance, reliability engineering or advanced industrial equipment
  • Experience with high-power / high-frequency electrical systems
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and a structured analytical mindsetExperience with computerized tools such as CMMS, CAD, or other engineering software.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems such as HVAC, chillers, conveyors or automation systems (PLC/SCADA) is an advantage
  • Experience from regulated industries with high safety and quality standards will also be an advantage

Experience with electron beam technology or sterilization processes is an advantage but not a requirement.

You are comfortable working in an international environment, and sometimes communicate early in the morning with colleagues in the China and Thailand.
