Financial Controller at DAFA in Brabrand

On behalf of DAFA, we are looking for a Financial Controller who thrives on both numbers and innovation. In this role, you’ll ensure financial accuracy while helping drive digital initiatives that make the finance function more data driven, automated, and insightful.

DAFA is an established international company that develops and produces solutions for sealing, protection, and absorption serving industries such as construction and manufacturing. With headquarters in Brabrand and production facilities in Denmark, Italy, Poland, and China, DAFA is a global player with strong growth ambitions and a focus on sustainable solutions.

Controlling with focus on development, digitalization and collaboration
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will become part of the Danish finance team consisting of seven colleagues. The role offers a combination of independent tasks and close collaboration with colleagues in Denmark and abroad.

Your daily work will include both traditional controlling responsibilities and digital development projects, where you map processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement new solutions. DAFA is currently advancing the digitalization and automation of the finance function from developing the ERP system to using Power BI for more data driven reporting and analysis. The company is also exploring AI tools to enhance data insights and automate traditional controlling tasks. As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in driving this digital transformation.

Your main responsibilities will include

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group
• Consolidation across the group’s entities in Denmark and internationally
• Budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial follow-up
• Key performance indicators, variance analyses, and management reporting
• Participation in audit processes and dialogue with auditors
• Tax and transfer pricing tasks in collaboration with external advisors
• Participation in digitalization and process optimization projects
• Close dialogue and sparring with leaders across countries and functions

Financial Controller with a focus on development and digitalization
We imagine that you have a few years of experience as an auditor or Financial Controller. Perhaps you have worked with international manufacturing or industrial companies and are ready to take the next step from advisory to an in-house operational role.
You thrive with responsibility and are curious about how systems, processes, and data can be continuously improved. You are motivated by creating insight through numbers and enjoy working in an environment with many points of contact across the business.

We expect that you have

• A relevant degree such as MSc in Accounting, HD-R, or similar
• Solid knowledge of accounting and controlling
• Experience with digitalization and development processes
• Strong business understanding and analytical skills
• A natural curiosity and proactive mindset
• Solid system skills, including experience with ERP systems, Power BI, and Excel
• Strong communication skills in both Danish and English
