Lead Software Engineer

Marketscience is a global company that specializes in data-driven solutions and market modeling. The company partners with leading organizations worldwide to develop innovative answers to complex growth and marketing challenges. Its culture is built on curiosity, innovation, and collaboration – with a strong belief that diversity among employees is a strength.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Software Engineer to drive technical development and lead a small team of engineers. You will join the product development team, responsible for building data analytics and modeling tools used by both internal teams and external clients – including Fortune 500 companies and top-tier marketing agencies.

You will play a key role throughout the entire development process – from design and implementation to testing and release – leading your own projects and contributing to the professional growth of your team in an agile environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Technical and professional leadership of 2–3 software developers
  • Designing and developing advanced data- and analytics-heavy software solutions
  • Close collaboration with colleagues and clients in the US, UK, and India
  • Creating a supportive and productive environment where the team thrives and delivers high-quality results
  • Building and maintaining solutions with a focus on real-time performance and scalability

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from home. You’ll be provided with all the necessary equipment and support to ensure an effective home office setup. You’ll be part of a global team where collaboration happens digitally, and you’ll remain closely connected with colleagues and leadership.

Join a Dynamic and International Organization
At Marketscience, you’ll be part of an ambitious and international team, where your professional development is a priority. You’ll have the opportunity to work with advanced technology and complex data projects for some of the world’s leading companies – all within an environment that values knowledge-sharing, innovation, and flexibility. We believe that the best solutions are created through collaboration, where your ideas are heard, and your efforts truly make a difference. You’ll enjoy the freedom to shape your own workday and career path, with support from a team just as passionate about technology and data as you are.

Are you the right candidate?
We’re looking for a curious and ambitious individual who thrives at the intersection of technology, data, and leadership. You’re a strong collaborator who enjoys solving complex problems and creating value for users and businesses alike. You possess strong technical insight but are also willing to dive into the details when necessary. You take pride in developing both your own and your team’s skills, and you thrive in a fast-paced, international, and dynamic environment. In short, you’re both a talented developer and a natural leader with a desire to make a real impact.

We imagine that you:

  • Have 5–7 years of experience as a software developer
  • Are proficient in C#, Python, SQL/MySQL, R, GitHub, and have experience with Azure or AWS
  • Have strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving
  • Are familiar with data science tools such as R, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and others
  • Have experience with agile development and tools such as Jira
